The Turner/PCL/Flatiron Joint Venture (JV) is providing construction management services for the expansion of Terminal 2 West at San Diego International Airport, under an agreement with the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. The JV will post, within the next 10 calendar days, an RFQ for the baggage handling system (Bid Package 11). Primary (BHS OEMs) bidders are invited to submit their qualifications as outlined in the RFQ. Potential sub-contractors are encouraged to review the RFQ package and to seek prime contractor partners for teaming. The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) invites proposals for the interior and exterior terminal display and community programme concession for Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) on Grand Cayman. The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is offering the following equipment to any airport that may be in need: Airfield lighting - approximately 900 taxiway edge lights (30 watt with transformers), manufactured by Siemens and Krause Hinds. These lights are in working condition and were recently replaced in 2010 with LED technology. One Siemens first generation airfield lighting control computer. Jetbridge bridge-mounted equipment. Sixteen potable water cabinets. Twenty-two Jetbridge pre-conditioned air units, manufactured by FMC; some minor rehabilitation may be required. Twenty-three 400hz ground power units, manufactured by FMC; some minor rehabilitation may be required. Thirty-five pneumatic tire/wheel assemblies; some minor rehabilitation may be required. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority is implementing a comprehensive concession development program to completely redevelop San Diego International Airport's food, beverage and retail environments throughout all terminals. Airport authority staff is holding outreach sessions, called Concessions 101, to inform the business community about the upcoming opportunities and cover what it takes to succeed in an airport retail environment. The next Concessions 101 event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15 from 1-3 p.m. at San Diego International Airport, Commuter Terminal, 3rd floor. Requests for proposals (RFPs) for new concession opportunities at the airport are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2011.
