Our firm’s purpose is to shape the future by putting people first, because we believe our company—and our world—is made better when we put people first. This includes our clients, our employees, and our communities.
These values shape the work we do as a firm, especially within aviation. We have been serving aviation clients for almost a century. We offer a full range of services: air service, planning, environmental, engineering, construction and incorporate sustainability and equity into all of our services. To us, this is beyond a service or career; airports provide a nexus through which food, goods, medicine, tourists, ideas, and services all pass. We are committed to providing solutions that allow these global gateways—and the communities they serve—to prosper. As part of this, we have taken inventory of our practices through our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. This report allows us to analyze where we are and where we want to be, so that we can make a positive impact on the world around us.
These people-first values are not just talk—we strive to take action and better our world. To this purpose, at the AAAE Annual Conference in Denver this year, we will be donating to AeroAngel in lieu of giveaways at our booth! Not only is this a more sustainable option than giving people little trinkets they may never use, but it also gives us a chance to make a difference in the lives of others. AeroAngel provides lifesaving free air transportation, primarily to children traveling to distant medical care. While the charity is based in Denver, AeroAngel fulfills flight requests nationwide, allowing families from across the country to utilize the services offered.
We are happy to support this unique, aviation-centric charity. As there is no cost to the families, the organization is completely dependent on donations to cover cost. Currently they give flights via donated business jets and funded charter flights but are launching a $10 million capital campaign to raise funds to purchase their own business jet. This would allow them to serve more children and access more children’s hospitals across the country.
AAAE attendees can help us support AeroAngels by stopping by our expo booth (Booth #1605) at the AAAE Annual Conference in June and donating online or via check. Mead & Hunt will be matching up to $1,000 in attendee donations.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for AeroAngel. Help us meet or exceed it! We believe the aviation community can have a big impact for the people this organization supports. Let’s see how big of a difference we can make together. A warm thank you in advance to our clients and partners that help us support this worthwhile cause.
