Jacky Sher Raker serves as Executive Vice President of Meetings, Membership, Marketing, Administration, AAAE Foundation, and Global Operations where she leads the association's efforts in delivering a wide range of member benefits and oversees a dynamic team that manages meetings, conferences and training opportunities. Jacky is a results-oriented, visionary leader focused on advancement and networking opportunities for AAAE's airport and corporate membership. She joined AAAE in 2001 as Senior Director of Meetings. Prior to joining AAAE in 2001, Sher Raker was Vice President of Conventions and Membership for the American Meat Institute and Managing Director of the National Meat Canners Association. She has spent her career in association management, having worked for five professional and trade groups in the Washington, DC area since 1989. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Professional Convention Management Association. In 2013, Sher Raker was invited to join the Raffles Fairmont Swissotel Hotels & Resorts (FRHI) Customer Advisory Board. She earned her Bachelor of Administration in Business, focused on Management and Marketing at Mount Vernon College, Washington, D.C. She is a native Virginian and currently resides in Alexandria with her husband.
