As AAAE’s Vice President of Member Experience and the AAAE Foundation, Gwen does more than just delight members (though that’s in her job description!). Gwen passionately serves as chief member experience officer and advocate at AAAE; identifying member priorities, developing new benefits and services to meet those needs, and elevating member service standards and satisfaction metrics across the association. She also manages the day-to-day operations of the AAAE Foundation, which has awarded over 3,000 scholarships totaling more than $5 million since 1989. In addition, Gwen plays a vital role in AAAE’s social media efforts, as well as serves as staff liaison for the Airport Customer Experience Symposium and Social Media Summit. In 2016, Gwen was recognized as one of Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40, an annual recognition honoring talented aviation industry professionals who are making a difference on the job and in the industry at large. Prior to joining the AAAE team in 2004, Gwen’s skills were honed at the Senate Judiciary Committee and at the Vermont Governor’s Commission on Women. Gwen lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband and son, though Vermont will always be home.
