About

The Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Airport Planning and Environmental Review Course is designed especially for aviation professionals responsible for planning and environmental compliance at commercial service and general aviation airports and aviation-based companies. The certification is based on fundamental federal regulations and policies, research from aviation organizations and generally accepted planning and environmental practices. It explores the diverse components that make-up the airport, including airside and landside facilities, stakeholder participation, master planning, airport layout plan development, and environmental considerations. This course will be an extensive review of the ACE Planning body of knowledge modules to help attendees learn and retain the information and pass the exam.

$1300 - regular registration
$1100 - active duty military or federal government (documentation required)

Bio: Stephanie wears a number of hats within Mead & Hunt. She manages the aviation planning group in that is responsible for Mead & Hunt’s work in the eastern US and also leads the state system planning pursuits as well as Mead & Hunt's ACRP projects. Stephanie enjoys sharing her over 30-years of aviation planning experience with her clients as well as the Mead & Hunt staff. She has spent her entire career serving clients nationwide from small general aviation airports to state aviation agencies as well as national clients like the TRB-ACRP and the FAA. Additionally, she teaches airport planning at Western Michigan University for their College of Aviation. She has extensive experience with airport master plans, environmental planning (NEPA), land use planning, aviation system planning, land acquisition, obstruction removal, airport zoning, and public involvement. She has a passion for aviation that stared early when she earned her private pilot license at the age of 17. She is a member of the Transportation Research Board Aviation Subcommittee focused on Aviation System Planning (AV020) and is a second term member of the board for the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) Center of Aviation Education and Research. In 2019, she was honored to receive the President's Award from the Michigan Association of Airport Executives for her work in Michigan and in particular coordinating the Michigan Aviation Professionals Training Course.
