AAAE Elects Leaders for 2021-22 at 93rd Annual Conference & Exposition

Alexandria, Va. — Lawrence J. Krauter, A.A.E., AICP, Chief Executive Officer, Spokane International Airport, took office this week as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2021-22. Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. Other key appointments to the Association’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Policy Review Council were also finalized during the 93rd Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas, which was held July 11-13 and hosted by McCarran International Airport.
  
“AAAE is fortunate to have another exceptional group of talented airport executives who have agreed to devote their time, energy, and intellect to help guide the Association and our industry past the pandemic to the brighter future that lies ahead,” AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli said. “On behalf of the AAAE team, I extend our sincere appreciation to these leaders for their tireless commitment to our organization and the airport industry and congratulate them for the recognition they have earned from their peers across the country.” 
  
Krauter was one of six Executive Committee members elected by the AAAE membership. He succeeds Kelly L. Campbell, A.A.E., Executive Director, Aviation, Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, who becomes First Past Chair. Second Past Chair is Tory Richardson, A.A.E., President and Chief Executive Officer, Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
