Through collaboration and a dynamic partner network, ACT’s call-to-action is to mobilize its members to transform shared challenges into actionable, results-oriented innovation resources for airports.
Join us for the Consortium's inaugural Quarterly All-Members Update. ACT Airport Directors and Co-Chairs Chad Makovsky, A.A.E. (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport) and Courtney Johnson, C.M. (County of San Luis Obispo) will kick off the meeting with welcome remarks before attendees hear updates from nine ACT engagement areas.
Learn about the Consortium's latest initiatives, upcoming events, new member resources, and opportunities to get involved. Whether you're a long-time participant or new to ACT, this briefing is designed to keep you informed and connected with the Consortium's work. Thank you to those of you who have already confirmed your participation!

Join ACT and the Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education for an interactive innovation engagement event exploring the real-world applications of UAS technologies and their impact on airport operations. Held in conjunction with the Airport Operations & Technology Symposium, this event is eligible for three A.A.E. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and features live demonstrations and discussions on weather observation, drone delivery, and counter-UAS technologies.
Airports Begin Piloting AI-Enabled Procurement Solution
Ten airports are currently piloting ACT Insights, an AI-enabled procurement solution developed by airports, for airports through the ACT program. The tool is designed to streamline the procurement process by helping airports develop scopes of work and support a variety of airport-related projects.
Participating airports are testing the platform using real procurement scenarios from their organizations, providing valuable feedback that will help refine the tool and ensure it addresses the industry's evolving needs. A list of participating airports can be found here.
Strengthening Airport Cyber Resilience Through ACT
The ACT Cyber Initiative is developing a collaborative Cyber Lite Assessment designed to help airports better understand and strengthen their cybersecurity posture and maturity. Led by Leidos, Mead & Hunt, and Air Sheriff, the pilot will combine targeted wireless and network security assessments with governance, compliance, and risk (GRC) management best practices to provide participating airports with a high-level view of cyber risks, operational vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement. The initiative will align findings with recognized industry frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, and deliver practical recommendations to support airport preparedness, resilience, and cyber incident response planning.
Airports interested in helping shape this initiative are encouraged to get involved by sharing their perspectives on cybersecurity maturity, benchmarking current practices, and identifying opportunities to strengthen cyber resilience across the airport industry.
New Member Update
AAAE's innovation program now represents 63 airports and 15 industry partners that collaborate through the association to identify industry needs, develop practical solutions, and accelerate innovation across the airport ecosystem.
