at San José Mineta International
SJC
Waymo, an autonomous ride-hailing company owned by Google’s parent company, has received authorization to operate commercially at San José Mineta International (SJC). The airport is the first commercial airport in California — and the second in the world — to welcome Waymo to its terminals. Waymo vehicles will use one of the airport’s two Ground Transportation Centers — in Terminal A or B — to meet passengers.

IAH/HOU
Houston Airports has opened its first Integrated Coordination Center (ICC), a state-of-the-art hub designed to centralize operations, improve public safety and ensure unified, transparent communication during emergencies. Located at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the ICC brings together key airport departments and partners — including the Airport Operations Coordination Center, TSA Security Operations Center, Houston Police Department, gate control, maintenance dispatch and terminal operations — into one facility for the first time. The facility monitors landside, airside and terminal operations around the clock and can transition instantly into emergency command mode during severe weather, major events or security incidents.

STC
St. Cloud Regional Airport has rebranded as St. Cloud Sky Central Airport. A new blue and green logo includes a stylized plane rising through the words Sky Central, with “St. Cloud” in small type. “There has been an airport in St. Cloud for 90 years, the last 55 in our current location,” said Saint Cloud Regional Airport Authority Chair Brian Myres. “With the airport being the central hub for our region’s aviation activities, being located in Central Minnesota and also in the center of the country, St. Cloud Sky Central Airport is the perfect way to describe it.”
