About the Webinar
Cardiac emergencies can happen anywhere—even in the midst of travel. With millions of passengers and employees moving through airports each day, readiness is not optional—it is lifesaving.
Join us for an important webinar focused on Cardiac Emergency Response Plans (CERPs) and best practices for strengthening cardiac preparedness across airport environments. This session will explore how airports can ensure AEDs are accessible, staff are trained, and response protocols are clear and practiced—so that when seconds matter most, airports are ready to act.
Featuring expert insight from Dr. Comilla Sasson, MD, PhD, Health Science Executive at the American Heart Association, and practical examples from an airport Fire Chief. This discussion will provide both clinical guidance and real-world airport experience in developing and implementing effective CERPs.
Attendees will learn:
- Key components of a strong Cardiac Emergency Response Plan
- Best practices for AED placement, accessibility, and maintenance
- Training and coordination strategies for airport staff and stakeholders
- Lessons learned from an airport’s experience strengthening cardiac emergency readiness
- Resources available through the American Heart Association to support airports
Whether your airport is reevaluating an existing plan or building one for the first time, this webinar will offer practical tools and actionable takeaways to help ensure your facility is truly ready in a heartbeat.
