About the Course

Additionally, the session will delve into the unique aspects of the airport industry. You acknowledge that in registering for and attending this AAAE event, you agree to adhere to the cancellation policy noted below, AAAE's Duty of Care, and AAAE's Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions.
AAAE accepts registration regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, sex, physical disability and national or ethnic origin. This includes but is not limited to admissions, employment and educational services. CANCELLATION POLICY: Webinar registration fees are non-refundable. A recording of the webinar will still be provided to cancelled registrations after the live webinar occurs for 30 days.
Training registration fees are non-refundable. For all inquiries regarding registrations, cancellations and refund requests, please contact the AAAE Training Department by email at training@aaae.org. All cancellation requests for registrations received on or before Monday, June 29, 2026, are subject to a $150 cancellation processing fee; approved refunds will be processed after the meeting takes place. There will be no refunds of any kind after this date. Cancellations with outstanding invoices received within two weeks of the start of the conference, will require full payment on the balance due. Refunds will not be provided, and balance dues will not be forgiven for no-shows. Substitutions within the same conference will be accepted without penalties. The difference between member and non-member price will be charged if a non-member replaces a member. Substitutions will be accepted with a written request to Training@aaae.org. The individual substituting for the original registrant is responsible for all financial obligations (balance due; difference in fees due to membership type) associated with that substitution. For all inquiries regarding cancellations, refunds and substitutions, please contact the AAAE Training Department at 703-824-0500 Option 4 or email Training@aaae.org. By submitting a completed registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy.
NOTE: Confirmation letters will be emailed to attendees within one business day of registration. If you have not received an email confirmation of your registration within 1 day of registering, and you enrolled at least two hours prior to the online event, please contact the AAAE Training Department at training@aaae.org. Please note failure to receive a confirmation letter before an event will not be grounds for a refund.

About the Instructor
Kimberly A. Kenville, Ph.D., C.M.
Professor
University of North Dakota
Dr. Kenville is a professor at the University of North Dakota (UND) and has taught the airport management (BBA) curriculum for the past 27 years. She has authored or co-authored 12 different Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) reports exploring Employee Resiliency, Airport-to- Airport Mutual Aid, Emergency Communication, Airport Recovery, Social Media and Emergency Management, Terminal Incident Response, Airport Reorganization, Aviation Education and Outreach, State Funding Opportunities, and Funding Industrial Aviation at Airports. She has chaired various ACRP panels and was a member of the Aviation Gasoline (Avgas) consensus study for the National Academies. In 2025, Dr. Kenville was appointed to the FAAs Research, Engineering, and Development Committee (REDAC), she was appointed to the ACRP Oversight Committee by the US DOT Secretary in 2019 and served as vice chair (2024-2025) and is completing her second term. Kim is a three-term governor-appointed North Dakota Aeronautics Commission member and is currently the chair (2024-2026). Dr. Kenville serves as the Dean of Accreditation for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and supports candidates through the accreditation writing process and the Board of Examiners. She is a trainer for AAAE and teaches, Airport Board Orientation and Training, Airport 101, and the Certified Member (CM) program. Kim owns Kim Kenville Consulting (KKC), a certified disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) in North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Maine. Before teaching at UND, Kim worked as a noise abatement intern for the MSP Airport and in airport operations at DTW and MKE airports working airside, landside, and terminal operations. In 2005, Kim earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. She was instrumental in developing UND’s Master of Aviation and Aerospace Sciences Ph.D. programs and was the aviation department graduate director for 10 years. Kim is a private pilot and a certified member (C.M.) of AAAE and she and her husband, Jon Scraper have five children.
Civilian/Military Airport Connection (CMAC)
What is CMAC?
The Civilian/Military Airport Connection (CMAC) program helps separating military personnel and new veterans acclimate from managing military airfields to the dynamic and complex commercial-use airport environment.
There are four components to the program:
- Professional transition workshop
- One airport certification course - choice of ACE Airfield Operations or Certified Member (C.M.)
- One year membership in AAAE
- Airport job shadowing
