About the Conference

Airports Going Green® (AGG) is the aviation industry’s leading forum on sustainability led by the Chicago Department of Aviation and co-hosted by AAAE. Since its beginning, AGG has enjoyed international recognition from airports, airlines, industry associations, and government agencies. Conference attendees participate in key discussions with airport business partners, government leaders, and top-level speakers from around the world.

Cancellation Policy:

Registrations and cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation requests received before Friday, October 25, 2024, are subject to a $125 processing fee and will be processed after the meeting takes place. There will be no refunds after this date. Substitutions will be accepted without penalties and no-shows will be billed. For all inquiries regarding cancellations and refunds, please contact the AAAE Meetings Department at 703.824.0504 or email  By submitting a completed registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the cancellation policy.

NOTE: AAAE reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event if the number of registrants is insufficient; due to acts of God; or any other reason beyond AAAE’s control. In this event, we will notify all registrants and credit the full registration fee towards another AAAE meeting, product or service. However, any costs incurred by the registrant, such as hotel cancellation or airline penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant. Confirmation letters will be emailed to attendees within two weeks of receipt of registration. However, if you have not received a confirmation email two business days prior to the meeting, and you enrolled at least two weeks prior to the meeting, please contact the AAAE Meetings Department at 703.824.0504 or Please note failure to receive a confirmation letter before an event will not be grounds for a refund.

Media Access Policy

AAAE reserves the right to grant at its sole discretion access to TV, radio and print media organizations or individuals that have registered and received prior authorization from AAAE at least 72 hours prior to an AAAE event they wish to cover. Due to the sensitive nature of some discussions, not all sessions at some AAAE events will be open to media. AAAE retains the sole right to grant or refuse media access for any event or section of an event it operates.

Hotel Accommodations

All conference programming, unless otherwise noted, will be held at the Swissotel Chicago, located at 323 E. Wacker Dr. Chicago, IL, 60601.

For your convenience, a block of rooms has been made available and all attendees will receive a rate of $269 per night (single/double). The last day to receive this discounted rate is Monday, October 21, 2024. Rooms may sell out before this date, so be sure to make your reservation today!

Swissotel Sustainability & Community Standards

The Swissotel is proud to take the following steps to create minimize environmental impact:

  • Energy Consumption: approximately 80% of lighting is from energy efficient products such as LEDs

  • Water Consumption: one of the first hotels in Chicago to install low-flow toilets in every guest room; 1.6GPF toilets (50% reduction compared to standard 3.5GPF toilets)

  • Waste Generation: culinary team utilizes an Eco-Digesting machine that breaks down food waste and returns tens of thousands of gallons of water to the ecosystem per year. The digester also reduces the need for trash bags, preserving valuable landfill space

Ground Transportation

  • ARRIVING BY AIR: The Swissotel is located about 18 miles from Chicago O'Hare International Airport, approximately 30-50 minutes via taxi/cab or rideshare, depending on traffic; and about 13 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport, or approximately 20-40 minutes via taxi/cab or rideshare, depending on traffic. Public transit from both airports is also available. Please see both airport websites for further information.

  • DRIVING/PARKING: 24-hour valet parking is $84/day. 24-hour self parking is $65/day.
