Airport Alert: AAAE to Hold Daily Coronavirus Calls for Members

March 15, 2020

In an effort to keep AAAE members apprised of the latest developments on the rapidly evolving situation on coronavirus and the government's response, and to facilitate the exchange of information among airport professionals, we are establishing a daily conference call beginning Monday, March 16, at noon Eastern/9 a.m. Pacific. It is our intention to provide an update at the beginning of the call and then open the lines for questions and an exchange of information, issues, and concerns. We will evaluate the regularity and timing of these calls as needed moving forward.

Please enter your contact information here so that we can ensure you receive any critical updates and are included on additional information-sharing efforts that AAAE is conducting. Please see below for instructions on how to participate in the daily call, additional information-sharing opportunities, and contact information for the Federal Affairs team.

Additional AAAE Information-Sharing Efforts

  • In addition to the daily coronavirus update call, AAAE's Emergency Management Working Group, which is part of the Operations, Safety, Planning, and Emergency Management (OSPEM) Committee, will be hosting weekly calls every Wednesday at 1 p.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Pacific until further notice. Please contact Justin Barkowski if you would like to participate in those calls in addition to the daily conference calls. If you have provided us with your contact information to receive critical updates, you will automatically receive a calendar invite for these calls.
  • The AAAE General Aviation Airports Committee will devote its monthly call on Wednesday, March 18, at 4 p.m. Eastern/1 p.m. Pacific, to a discussion of how GA airports are handling the coronavirus situation and sharing best practices specific to GA facilities. Please contact Adam Snider if you would like to participate in that meeting.
  • AAAE has also created a webpage that includes the latest aviation-related information on coronavirus. We will keep that page updated moving forward. The page is available to all AAAE members and is meant to be a one-stop resource for the latest information and links to guidance from various governmental agencies. Bookmark aaae.org/coronavirus and check back anytime for the latest updates as the aviation industry faces this evolving disruption.
