Security Policy Alert: TSA Makes Policy and Personnel Announcements

TSA has approved a partial renewal of the National Alternative Measure (AM) 1542-20-03C which became effective on November 1 and now expires on February 28, 2021. TSA has also indicated a willingness to work with airports on individual alternative measures if the airport's badging office needs to suspend or modify badging office operations due to COVID-19. The national AM is posted on HSIN.
In TSA personnel news, Susan Tashiro was named as the Assistant Administrator for Domestic Aviation Operations. Tashiro was previously serving as Acting Assistant Administrator. In addition, Craig Lynes was named as Deputy Assistant Administrator for International Operations; he previously served as Executive Director of Compliance. Finally, within the office of Requirements and Capabilities Analysis, Melissa Conley was promoted to Executive Director for Capability and Management Innovation. AAAE congratulates and looks forward to continuing to work with all three in their new roles.
