Security Policy Alert: TSA Posts Frequently Asked Questions Related to COVID-19
April 3, 2020
As discussed on yesterday's TSA conference call for airport stakeholders (see the AAAE call summary here), TSA has posted on HSIN a COVID-19 related frequently asked questions document.
TSA's Policy, Plans and Engagement (PPE) compiled the document based on questions received from airports, AAAE, ACI-NA, and TSA field offices about airport security measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic. TSA notes that the frequently asked questions and answers document is not a regulatory document, is not official guidance, and all examples are notional. In addition, the answers provided can be superseded by other TSA policies in the future.
Please continue to share your questions and concerns with AAAE staff as we continue to work with TSA to add to this frequently asked questions document and to pursue regulatory relief as needed.
