June 28, 2022
TSA Issues Proposed Update on Ramp Movement ASP Amendment
TSA issued a proposed change on June 28 to the Airport Security Program (ASP) National Amendment TSA-NA-21-02 series regarding ramp movement. The proposed amendment (TSA-NA-21-02B) would authorize the use of air carrier-issued ramp ID media to allow unescorted access only in the immediate vicinity of the aircraft, unless the airport operator, in consultation with the aircraft operator, authorizes ramp badge holders unescorted access beyond the footprint of the aircraft in their ASP. Comments are due no later than August 12, 2022.
At the request of AAAE, TSA also posted the corresponding proposed changes to the Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) and the Private Charter Standard Security Program (PCSSP) regarding aircraft operator issued identification media. AAAE requested the opportunity for airports to review the proposed aircraft operator changes for ramp ID media to avoid any unintended consequences or negative impact on airport badging and escorting processes.
Final Cybersecurity ASP Amendment Expected on Thursday
TSA has informed AAAE that the agency plans to issue as final TSA-NA-22-01, Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessments and Incident Response Plans, on Thursday, June 30. The final ASP amendment will have an effective date of July 31, 2022.

Due to the July 4th holiday, TSA has cancelled its monthly conference call for airport stakeholders, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 7. TSA will resume the monthly conference calls in August on Thursday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
