Security Policy Alert: TSA Postpones Implementation of Ramp Movement ASP Amendment; No TSA Monthly Call for Airport Stakeholders

August 31, 2021

TSA has informed AAAE that the agency will post the following notice on the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) regarding implementation of the Ramp Movement Airport Security Program (ASP) amendment.
The Transportation Security Administration is postponing the implementation date of the TSA-NA-21-02 series: Ramp Movement. TSA-NA-21-02 will no longer go into effect on September 1, 2021. The 1993 FAA Ramp Movement remains in effect at this time. TSA will post TSA-NA-21-02A and notify stakeholders of the new effective date when it becomes available.

In addition, due to TSA staff schedules and competing priorities, TSA will NOT host its monthly conference call for airport stakeholders, originally scheduled for Thursday, September 2. The TSA monthly conference call will resume on Thursday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

AAAE's Transportation Security Services Committee will host its monthly airports-only conference call on Wednesday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Agenda and call-in details will be provided in a separate reminder e-mail.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns in the meantime.
