Regulatory Alert: FAA Announces Deadlines on the Use of FY22 AIP Entitlement Funds

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the deadlines for submitting a notice of intent (NOI) and final grant application for the use of primary, cargo, and nonprimary entitlement funds that are available under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) for fiscal year 2022 (FY22). Specifically, FAA has set the deadline of February 15, 2022, for an airport to provide FAA with an NOI to use FY22 AIP entitlement funds and the deadline of April 11, 2022, for an airport to submit a final grant application to use FY22 entitlement funds. FAA noted that these dates are subject to adjustment based on potential future legislation.
