Special Event Staging Areas (Super Bowl)

This map is created to control traffic and avoid congestion around LAS airport during Super Bowl week in Las Vegas. I specified and color coded the staging areas/parking lots for buses, trucks, limousines, transportation network companies (TNCs) such as Uber and Lyft, NFL operations, and volunteers. Also, highlighted Metro and the traffic control flaggers, added number of parking spaces, and specified pickup routes to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. In addition, I generated QR code for each staging area address to make it easy for the drivers to reach their destinations, the driver can scan and go.

LAS Submission pt 2
Movement Area Airfield Markings

Last year, I accurately digitized our airfield markings to improve various maps, such as our Airfield Marking Plan, and to prepare data for an Airfield Marking Maintenance application we are now in the process of creating. However, I wasn't familiar with the terminology at the time for most of these markings and needed something to reference. This map is a section of the LAS airfield that captures every type of marking within our movement area and symbolizes them in a way that makes them very easy to identify.

Enhancing Part 139 Inspections: GIS-Based Modeling of EMAS

The SDF Operations team created a detailed GIS map of our Runway 29’s EMAS at KSDF using drone-captured imagery. This map played a crucial role in the Part 139 inspection process, helping the operations department identify areas of degrading and potential hazards such as surface erosion or material displacement. Notably, the map revealed a low area on the EMAS, depicted with light blue shading, which may require further attention. The map is composed of over 325 photos taken during a 12-minute flight conducted by our operations team during a runway closure, providing a comprehensive view of the EMAS to ensure continued compliance and assisting in preventive maintenance safety.

Spatial Collaboration Digital Twin Nexus with AI Insights

Spatial Collaboration Digital Twin Nexus with AI Insights

Our maps-based spatial collaboration digital twin platform is not just a visualization that can import in AutoCAD files, but allows direct re-drawing of structural boundaries directly in a browser to maintain the digital version of the physical world. Once modifications are made, the advanced Drafts & Approvals mode allows supervisors to approve the changes. Each "digital layer" can not only be static data, but overlays real-time IoT to visualize a true digital twin, whether it's aircrafts or vehicles or cleaning robots. Due to how we are tapping into various data silos, our AI can understand and help provide valuable insights to allow managers to make decisions quicker.

Native App-free Map for Passenger Mobile Use

This map was created by Pointr as an alternative to downloading an airport app to access site maps. We’ve shrunk the digitized map we built the airport as well as the algorithms that locate the passenger on the map with high-accuracy, within the strict 15mb limit of this "app-less" tech. This enables passengers to benefit from a live "bluedot" wayfinding navigation experience on their phone without downloading a mobile app.

Grand Rapids Air Travel Market Analysis

Grand Rapids Air Travel Market Analysis

I used ESRI Business Analyst data to show the percent of people who have taken a trip by plane in the last year. I overlayed drive times from the GRR airport and included the locations of other airports, both commercial and GA, sized based on the amount of flights per day.
