About the Speaker
Jason Shevrin

Jason Shevrin is a distinguished leader in the aviation industry, bringing 23 years of experience in airport engineering, project management, and special systems design. As the Technology Division Director at McFarland Johnson, he has been instrumental in pioneering innovative solutions and achieving operational excellence in airports nationwide.
Jason’s career is marked by his commitment to improving airport operational efficiency and fostering innovative practices. He has led numerous large-scale projects, including the modernization of major airport terminals and the implementation of advanced technology systems like McFarland Johnson’s new proprietary patented airport management platform, AVIASTM, which is streamlining airport operations as modernization efforts of small and mid-sized airports are facilitating regional growth across the country.
Jason holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in power and communications from Drexel University. He is renowned for his strategic vision and collaborative leadership style. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has published several articles on airport management and innovation.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jason is an active member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and serves on multiple advisory boards. His dedication to the industry and forward-thinking approach make him a sought-after expert and a respected authority in airport management.

Carter leads the association's operations, services, and solutions, including finance, information services, the Transportation Security Clearinghouse, and Training and Technology Services. Carter helped develop and shape numerous initiatives within the industry including the nation's first domestic known traveler program, as well as the formation the AAAE Transportation Security Clearinghouse, which facilitates the background vetting for aviation workers nationwide.
Civilian/Military Airport Connection (CMAC)
What is CMAC?
The Civilian/Military Airport Connection (CMAC) program helps separating military personnel and new veterans acclimate from managing military airfields to the dynamic and complex commercial-use airport environment.
There are four components to the program:
- Professional transition workshop
- One airport certification course - choice of ACE Airfield Operations or Certified Member (C.M.)
- One year membership in AAAE
- Airport job shadowing
