Patrick Wilson, A.A.E., is president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (MKAA), a public service corporation that owns and operates both McGhee Tyson and Downtown Island Airports in Knoxville, TN. In his role, Wilson leads a team whose primary focus is to provide East Tennessee aircraft operators and travelers with safe, modern, and convenient aviation facilities and affordable air travel options. As a leader in aviation for over 29 years, Wilson is experienced in promoting positive relationships with airport, airline, government, and community leaders. 

Wilson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and earned a Master of Business Administration in Aviation and Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. Patrick holds the professional credentials of an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) through the American Association of Airport Executives. He recently completed multiple terms as the President of the Tennessee Association of Air Carrier Airports and President of the Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (a professional association representing twelve southeastern states and two US territories). Patrick currently serves on the national board of directors for the two leading airport industry associations, the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and Airport Council International-North America (ACI-NA).
