Patrick Wilson A.A.E., ACE

Patrick Wilson, A.A.E., is president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (MKAA), a public corporation that owns and operates McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) and Downtown Island Airport (DKX) in Knoxville, TN. In his role, Wilson leads a team of 200 individuals whose primary focus is to provide East Tennessee travelers and aircraft operators with safe, modern, and convenient aviation facilities and affordable air travel options. As a leader in aviation for over 33 years, Wilson is experienced in promoting positive relationships with airport, airline, government, and community leaders.

Wilson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and earned a Master of Business Administration in Aviation and Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. Patrick holds the professional credentials of an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) through the American Association of Airport Executives.

Patrick currently serves on the six-member Executive Committee leading the board of directors for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), representing over 10,000 airport professionals and 900 airports in the United State. Additionally, Patrick serves on the U.S. Policy Council of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA).
