Colleen Chamberlain
Colleen Chamberlain is the Vice President, Transportation Security Policy, at the American Association of Airport Executives. With over 20 years of legislative and regulatory policy experience in Washington, D.C., Colleen formulates and implements strategic security policy initiatives on behalf of airport members' interests and priorities. She is AAAE's primary staff lead for communicating and advocating for airport members' interests with the Transportation Security Administration and other components of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Colleen serves on a number of government advisory organizations, including the Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC) and the Aviation Sector Coordinating Council (ASCC). She is also an original member of the Quarterly Airport Security Review, formerly known as the In-Depth Security Review, a joint initiative with TSA, airport associations and airport representatives to review and modernize airport security regulations. Prior to joining AAAE in 2006, Colleen held government affairs positions with the Illinois Department of Transportation and United Airlines. She started her career in aviation policy on Capitol Hill, serving as Chief of Staff to Representative William Lipinski (D-IL). Colleen graduated cum laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. She and her husband have a daughter and live in Washington, D.C.
