AAAE Relief Foundation

Your contributions to the AAAE Relief Foundation directly impacts airport employees in regions affected by natural disasters or similar significant events causing widespread suffering. Rather than focusing on fundraising in the wake of specific events, your donations will go towards providing ongoing, as-needed support. 100 percent of your contribution goes directly to airport employees in their time of need.

Requesting Relief

To request relief funds for airport employees after a qualifying event, an airport must send a signed letter from its executive leadership (CEO, CFO, HR, etc.) to AAAE detailing the reason for the request and the total number of employees needing assistance. Relief distribution is on a by-employee-basis. Once a request for assistance is approved, AAAE will transfer funds via wire transfer to the airport, which is responsible for even distribution to impacted employees. After the distribution has been made, the airport must provide a report to AAAE detailing the recipients and the amounts each employee received within two weeks (for audit purposes).

Recoop Disaster Insurance

In addition to the creation of the permanent AAAE Relief Foundation, we have partnered with Recoop Disaster Insurance to provide additional disaster coverage should the need arise.

AAAE will cover a FREE 1-month policy for our members. If you choose to continue your coverage, AAAE members will receive a preferred rate.
