More than 175 aviation professionals from across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean gathered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the 2026 Airports Conference of the Americas. Presented by IAAE, AAAE, and the South Central Chapter of AAAE, the conference featured discussions on airport modernization, public-private partnerships, regulatory collaboration, advanced air mobility, commercial development, resilience, and other key issues shaping the future of aviation throughout the Americas.

IAAE extends its sincere appreciation to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for serving as host airport, as well as to our speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees for making this year's conference a success. The event concluded with a behind-the-scenes tour of FLL, offering participants an inside look at the airport's operations, emergency response capabilities, and ongoing modernization efforts.
